St Vincent’s Foundation plays a very important role. We raise the funds needed to support the vital work of the network of St Vincent's Hospitals across Victoria. We are also proud to support the work of the brilliant clinicians and researchers we are so lucky to have within the St Vincent’s family. Community support and generosity have been central to the story of St Vincent's since our beginnings as a small cottage hospital, established by the Sisters of Charity order in Fitzroy in 1893. The generous support of individuals, community groups, staff and businesses enables the funding of new medical equipment, research innovation, improved patient health care and the education our new generation of clinicians and nurses.
